Milky Way is a candy bar from Mars, Incorporated featuring chocolate-malt nougat and caramel topped in milk chocolate. Outside of the U.S. market, the product is sold as the Mars bar. The Milky Way bar was introduced in 1923 as the first commercially distributed filled candy bar.

Today, the product is available in several different versions and sizes. These include the classic Milky Way, the Simply Caramel version and a Midnight (dark chocolate/vanilla) version. Consumers with smaller appetites can purchase “Fun Size” and “Minis” packages, while a “2 to Go” version also exists for those looking for a double-sized snack. The European and Australian version of Milky Way lacks a caramel topping, but instead contains a light, nougat center.
